Infectious Symptoms Clinic and Orange Clinic
IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE: Due to the recent NSW health Order, those who have been in Sydney since 21st June cannot come inside Blackbutt Doctors Surgery. Instead please book a phone or blue clinic appointment.
Blackbutt Doctors Surgery has increased its precautions to the level of an Amber Alert.
To keep everyone as safe as possible, we are separating patients with potentially infectious symptoms, from those who are well.
Our reception staff will identify on the phone if you have symptoms and direct you to the correct clinic for your care. They will also take your temperature upon arrival to make sure that you are well enough to go in to the well clinic. The clinic for people with symptoms is going to be called Blue clinic the clinic for people with no symptoms is going to be called Orange clinic. When you come into the surgery the receptionist will ask you if you have been to any hot spots, have you been asked to isolate, are you waiting on an COVID 19 test result or if you have any cold or flu like symptoms. If you are free from symptoms and has no temperature they will check you in and allow you to proceed with your face 2 face appointment. If you answer yes to any of the above, we will ask you to return to your car an have a phone appointment or an infectious symptoms appointment
If you come to the Orange clinic but you have symptoms or temperature you will be asked to return to your car. The doctor that you were going to see will then ring you and sort out what is the best way to deal with your problem. If you know you are ill please do not turn up Orange clinic. You will be charged for the phone consultation to sort you out and for any further care you need to. If you know you were unwell on the day of your Orange clinic appointment you must cancel that appointment and book an appointment for infectious symptoms clinic appointment or contact us by phone to see how else we can resolve your problem. It will end up more cost effective and safer for you.
Our doctors are taking turns to staff the infectious symptoms clinic. This means that they may not be available in Orange clinic to do your regularly scheduled work. During this time you may have to see doctors who are not your regular doctor either in infectious symptoms clinic or in Orange clinic.
